How to remove unwanted program names from "add/remove"TIA

I have two Nero program names on my "add/remove" list. I have
previously removed both programs but when I attempt to remove the
names I get the error, "fatal error on installation". The size of the
Nero programs still show.
I have been through the "software" sections of the "registry" removing
all (that I found) reference to Nero. No dice. The Klingons remain.
Any suggestons gratefully received. Help Please.

One way is to actually install the old programme again, then remove
via that software's "Uninstall" feature.

That should do a clean deinstall.

Download Windows Install Clean Up Utility

The download is available under More Information. Use it to remove
registry setting for an undesired program. Then delete (if necessary)
any shortcut/folder.

Gel, I actually wanted to re-install but this problem seems to prevent
that happening.
One Nero 7 shows size:479mb & the other, Nero 7 Premium shows 547mb.
Thank you for the response, Gel.

Just seen your post saying you want to re-install. In that case do NOT
remove folder after using WICU as it will create duplicate files (no big
problem though).

Thanks, Smirnoff. I am re-installing (kinda slowly) right now after a
couple of false starts. I ran the "repair" option & so far limping
along. :-) I'll be back with the results when done...if ever. :-)

I take it you mean the repair option in Add/Remove? IME it would be
better to use WICU and then do a clean install. Good luck though.

No, not in "add/remove". Nero 7 prem has one too. It didn't work worth
a toss. :-(
I have been in "safe mode" manually cleaning out Nero stuff. NOW I'm
going to do it your way,
Smirnoff, with Windows Install Clean Up Utility.

Well, THAT worked FAST, Smirnoff. Excellent. Thanks very much. I will
now try a clean install....totally fearlessly this time as I know I
can clear it now. ATB from Scotland, Smirnoff.

You're welcome. Please let me know if install is successful.
