How to Remove PowerPoint Viewer 2003

Curly Lee

I would like to remove/uninstall Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer "2003" from a
WinXP system. However, there is no entry in the Control Panel Add/Remove
Program List for either "PowerPoint Viewer" or "Microsoft PowerPoint
Viewer." If anyone can please tell me how to remove this program, I would
appreciate it very much. Thank you in advance.

Since the viewer can work as a standalone (ie, from CD as an autorun) it
doesn't need a lot of stuff installed here and there in Windows, and doesn't
seem to need much in the registry.

You could probably just delete the exe and be done with it.

But go to www.echosvoice.com and look through the info there on AutoRun CDs.
Among other things, it gives a list of the files needed, I think.

Echo ... can you or your voice verify that you've got the goods on Viewer 2003
too?

ISTR that a number of the files from the Autorun CD project are files that
are required when you run PowerPoint. I think your suggestion of just
deleting the .exe file is the best.

I'll go along with that.
