How to remove a Driver if Device Manager empty ?

I have installed a wrong USB driver (USB 2.0) and because
of that, I cannot get back into normal Windows (Win-XP
Pro) because it crashes. I can only get back to Safe Mode
Windows.

I read the USB 2.0 infos and it's not meant for my PC.

Once I am into Safe Mode, the Device Manager is empty. It
doesn't list any devices at all.

The System Restore doesn't want to start. It tells me it
cannot start and I need to restart windows.

How can I remove that USB driver (USB 2.0 controler) if I
can't even access it in the Device Manager ???
