How to reload Win2K without original disk.

I would like to completely wipe out the disk on my computer and start over
because it is so loaded with junk, viruses, trojans, etc., but I don't have
the original software that came with the computer. I do have a Windows 2000
Pro evaluation version that I could use to reload the software, but then I'd
have to pay for it again after the evaluation period. Is there any way to
reload Win2K on my computer without the original software and without having
to pay for it again? Maybe by using this evaluation disk and using the
original key, if it can be recovered from my computer before formating? (if
this is possible, how?)

Find someone with the SAME Win2K version as you and have them burn you a
copy. The "CD" is not what you buy, it's the license "key".

No.

and without having

Why don't you still have the original installation CD?

If it was a retail license and you have proof of purchase:

If it was an OEM license, you should contact the computer's
manufacturer.

Once you've replaced the CD:

Simply boot from the Win2K installation CD. You'll be offered the
opportunity to delete, create, and format partitions as part of the
installation process. (You may need to re-arrange the order of boot
devices in the PC's BIOS to boot from the CD.)
