how to RECOVER----PLEASE HELP

PROBLEM----

i have a server loaded windows 2000,and some
softwares .some softwares are there which link to the
system files of os.

Let if mistakely changed something in this software which
causes the os's system file corrupted.

Next time when i open the server its not opening and came
to c: prompt and giving a message


IS THERE ANY COMMAND IN DOS MODE WHICH I CAN USE IN DOS
MODE TO RECOVRE THE SYSETEM FILE OF YESTERDAY OR ANY
OTHERE DAY SO THAT I CAN ATLEASET START MY SERVER.

Hi,

Can you tell us what is the error that you get.

Without knowing the error it's harder to say but you could do a repair
install of Windows 2000 Server, which replaces system files but keeps your
data safe. You could also boot from the 2000 CD, go into to recovery
concsole and try running chkdsk to fix file system errors. Unfortunately,
2000 doesn't back up the registry as XP does, so this isn't an option.
