How to recover NTFS partition without losing data

Hi,
I am having a strange problem:
My Windows keep rebooting itself. I tried to boot in safe mode and other
mode, same thing happens.
I boot with ERD2005 but the primary partition is gone.
However, I still can connect to the drive using NTFSDOS program. All data
are still there.
I tried Windows' repair option but the disk's partition is not NTFS anymore?
How can I restore the NTFS partition without losing the data??

It will allow you to scan the disk for all former partitions and providing
you haven't zero'd out your disk you can then recover whatever you need.

I am looking into several recovery software. I just wonder if there is
anything I can to restore the partition to good stage.

I plug this disk into another XP, Disk Manager does not recognize the disk
is NTFS formatted but Data Recovery software (Kernel FAT + NTFS) does see it
as NTFS volume.
