how to print to different subnet

I have 2 routers, daisy-chain connected

A. DI 624 (wireless)
B. SMC 7004ABR (wired w/ printer server)

WAN port of router A is connected to DSL(ISP). One LAN port of router
A is connected to WAN port of router B.

All computers (within router B) print successfully. Yet, I have no
idea of how any LAN port of router A connects to router B.

Some suggest disabling the DHCP of router B and connect one LAN port
from router A to B. Yet SMC doesn't permit me to do any modification
of IP. It is set to be 192.168.2.1. I can't change at all.

I agree with the advice you have been given. Disable the LAN side DHCP
of router B and connect from the LAN port of router A to the LAN port
of router B using a cross-cable and leave the WAN port of router B
unconnected. If you think you can't modify IP parameters on your
router, you haven't read the manual.

Can you be more explicit?

In the setup page of SMC router, I get the following error message when I
change the ip address of SMC router

ip pool must be the same subnet as the gateway ip.

I do not have a SMC router, but this error arises from your DHCP
settings. Gateways must be in same subnet as end devices. If your
router is set up to assign addresses in the 192.168.2.x range, then the
router (possible the LAN address of the SMC router) must also be
192.168.2.x. Try changing the address range of DHCP or turn DHCP off
before changing the address of the router.
