how to prevent Inbox message from auto delete after open

ms offc. small biz 2000
ms outlook 2000 e-mail
once receive e-mail in inbox, click to open and read , when click to close
it automatically dissapears. not found on system/deleted box etc.

need help to prevent messages from auto delet after read
 
Turn off message filtering. You've probably set your view to see only unread
messages. Click on View, Current View, and make sure Messages is checked.
