How to prevent automatic logoff

Since a ran a repair tool (Norton Systemdoctor), my computer logs off all my
users after a few seconds. Even in safe mode and even when I logon as
administrator.
Logoff occurs before my desktop items and startmenu are visible. So, in
effect, my computer is inaccessable.
Is there a way to solve this?

Use system restore, or undo what norton has done with the
back up disks. Norton usually asks you to make start up or
back up disks when doing something like that, if you did
not make the disks you may be out of luck.
