As some of you know Mailing-Lists can be access not only by email but also by a web interface
provided at http://www.gmane.com.

However I did not found a possibility to post to a Mailing-List altough it is stated at
various places. The service seems to be perfect for me but I need posting capability.

Does someone know how do I post to a Mailing-List through gmane.com web page interface?

When you are reading an article using the gmane.com web interface, you
should be able to see a "Drop-down Box" containing the word "Action"; for
me, it hovers over the upper 'pane' where the articles are listed. Click
on the little arrow at the right of the "Action" and you get a list,
including "Followup". Click on that and you will (eventually) see a page
headed "Compose a message to ...".

I chose the "On the web, using frames and threads." option, and my
browser had 'JavaScript' and 'Images' enabled. If you use the "On the
web, using a blog-like, flat interface." option, there is a 'Reply' link
at the end of the message, which should take you to the same "Compose ..."
page. That should work with most browsers.

I haven't actually tried it (yet), but it looks as though it should work.
Of course, the administrator of the mailing-list may have final say about
whether or not anyone ever sees your message. I did once post a message
to a mailing-list using my newsreader and gmane's news-server, but it
never appeared and I heard nothing further.

It might be a good idea to subscribe to the mailing-list itself, even if
you want to use gmane's interface. At least if you 'register' or
whatever, the admin of the mailing list should know who you are when your
messages start turning up.

Perhaps the best place to post questions about the gmane system, would be
in their own forum/list/group "gmane.discuss". There is a "gmane.test" too
;))
