How to open up a specific document from a switchboard in Microsoft

I am trying to open up a document from Microsoft Access, but i am struggling
as i am not sure what to do. It is a Microsoft Word document.

The easiest way is to build a solution that can open any registered file
type. Shell execute does just that, and Dev Ashish has already written and
tested all the code:

The help i have received is good but doesn't work for me. I am on a network.
I know the cmd line for word and the word document i want to open...but how
can i do it?
