I just bought a new PC with Win98SE. My previous PC was also Win98SE
with Office2000. I had everything from my old harddrive copied to the
new harddrive, maintaining same tree/folder structure, into a folder
OldHardDrive.
What I'd like to do:
When I install Office2000 on my new PC, I want to open the Inbox from
my previous Outlook2000 installation. I'd like to use it as my Inbox,
instead of the default Inbox you get when you install O2000. I have
alot of stuff in that Inbox!
Is this just a matter of deleting the new default Inbox file from new
installation of Office2000, and then copy/pasting the Inbox file from
previous installation to the correct location? Or is it more
complicated?
Instructions/info greatly appreciated. Esp would like to know the
location and filename of the default Inbox file you get when you
install Outlook2000 on Win98SE. This was what I used; I didn't route
mail into a .PST I created. I did standard Office2000 installation,
accepting all the defaults.
Thx in advance--hope above info is sufficient.
