How to open embedded files like excel PDF when the word doc is pro

Hi,

How to open embedded files like excel PDF when the word doc is protect, i am
able to open them all when the word doc is not protected.

any help....???

If you insert the file into an unprotected section you should have no problem
opening it.

If the section of the document in which they are embedded is protected then
you will not be able access them. Put the embedded files in an unprotected
section.

Hi,
I also have a word doc (Microsoft Word 2010) with 25 embedded pdf files. I want to protect the tesxt while still being able to open any of the embedded pdf's. I tried to section break the first 7 pages with text from the two remaining pages with the embedded files/icons but the protect feature still protects the entire document...???
