I'm currently using windows XP and i need to use
netmeeting. How do i find my ip address with using a DSL
router? I get the local ip address in the netmeeting
window, but not one that others can connect to. Can you
help?

Why are you using Netmeeting?
If it is for audio/video conferencing - you will need to setup your DSL
router to forward the correct ports. How you do that will depend on the
router in question and the instructions are either in the box it came with
or the manufacturer's web page - a Google search would likely turn them up
as well.

If it is for remote control of some sort - you should use Remote Desktop,
IMO.

Either way - you will not only have to forward the ports for that or the
other as well, but you will have to give out the IP of your ROUTER, not your
machine.

Hi,

You need to log into the router and obtain the IP from your wan settings. If
you are using PPPoE, then your IP likely changes at some interval determined
by your service provider and is not static.
