How to not add FW infront of email when forwarding emails

I would like to know how to remove the "FW:", too, because we have to forward
a lot of emails into a repository that gets indexed and the FW: messes up the
indexing in the repository.

I hate to say it, but, it sounds like you need a new indexer more than anything
else. Removing the 'FW:' isn't easy and won't always work, as it requires
editing the form itself, which forwarded messages won't use. Even if you
published the form globally and made everyone use it, external email wouldn't
use it and you'd have simply poor behaviour.

The best solution really is to figure out why the indexer gets messed up
by the FW.

May I ask why? There may be other solutions which are more practical...

Hello All,
I have the same requirement for the following reason.

We use Exchange 2003; Outlook 2003.

I have created a rule to auto-forward mails from a certain sender to our
HelpDesk system which raises a ticket upon receipt of an email. (The ticket
must be raised in my name, hence re-directing may not help).
The problem is that the Helpdesk system is configured to ignore mails with a
subject line prefixed with "RE" or "FW".
I guess Outlook does not allow the prefix to be customised, hence I was
looking for some creative ideas to deal with this.
For eg. if I install a different language Outlook on my PC which uses other
letters for FW or RE, would that help?

The above should work fine even if my Outlook is not running.

I look forward to learning a new idea to deal with this situation. Thanks.
