Sathit,

I am not really clear on what you are trying to do.

These two security groups are extremely important and can only reside in the
first domain created in the forest. I am not sure why you would want to
move them.

The forest root domain can not be changed. Once it is created it must
continue to exist. There is no way to change it to the other. I am not
even sure what you mean by that! If you are talking about a child domain
then you can not do this. The child domain can not exist without the root
domain.

If the root domain is called yourdomain.com and your child domain is called
child01.yourdomain.com there is no way to get rid of yourdomain.com without
doing irreparable damage to all domains inside that 'forest'.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish? There is a way to migrate users
from one domain to another. You could look at either movetree or, better,
ADMT v2. If you have user accounts in yourdomain.com and you need them to
be in child01.yourdomain.com take a look at ADMT v2. Is this what you are
trying to do? If Exchange 2000 is involved then there should not be any big
problems. The proper use of the Recipient Policy and delegation should
resolve this issue.

Cary

You can't move them. They live in the forest root domain... i.e. The first
domain of the forest.
