Outlook offers many options, such as flagging emails for follow up. You can
set reminders for emails, but when you set the reminder, it only shows up in
the virtual file "For Follow Up", How can you have the emials that have
reminder on them appear in the reminder window such as the appointments do?

Make sure those emails are in the default Inbox folder. Outlook only fires
reminders from the default Inbox, Tasks, Calendar and Contacts folders. In
all other folders reminders that are due only show the item in red.

We just upgrsded to Outlook 2003. I'm not sure what version we had before,
but it would always pop up reminders no matter where the email was filed. Do
you have any idea whay they have now made the program more restrictive? Is
there some easy way to move emails out of the inbox and set reminders, i.e. a
rule for a rimider folder. I'm new to Outlook 2003, so any indight would be
helpful.

Thanks, Rick

There have been no changes to where reminders fire in any version of
Outlook. Since Outlook 97 was released reminders have only fired from the
default Inbox, Calendar, Contacts or Tasks folders unless you use a 3rd
party Outlook COM addin to change that.
