How to make an Intro page....

Brightbelt

Hi-
I'm in the process of making an alternate flash site
and I need to make an intro page that comes up when my
url is activated (to give the choice of flash or non-
flash etc). How does one go about that ? Is it jus
another form of doing an 'index.htm' or 'default.htm' ?
I have Jbots and I see a place where I can 'make
homepage' but I've looked at that and got even more
confused. I'd really appreciate any help. Thanks,...Frank

You're correct. You just place the intro page as whatever the default page
name should be. A lot of people then just name the real default page
something like index2 or default2 (not very creative eh?).

Hope this helps,

If you are using any FP nav bars and nav view, you should create your main web as a subweb/subsite (if your host supports subwebs)
w/ your current home page, and in your root web just a single page site w/ the splash page

Personally I HATE intro pages. They seem to exist only to allow the
webmaster to show off a feww meaningless graphics which usually piss off the
average user (especially if they have to download a plugin).

Steer clear of "intro pages". They have no real purpose. Let them go
straight to the REAL homepage and the info they're actually after.
