How to maintain column alignment when exporting?

I have an Access 2002 table which simply includes names and
addresses. When I export the table to a fixed width text file,
the data in the columns is NOT aligned. Some of it is but
most of it runs together. What do I need to do in order
to keep all the data aligned?

-Thanks

Can you give an example of what you mean? And are you sure that any
misalignment you see isn't due to viewing the text file in a
propertionally-space font? If you view it in a fixed-pitch font, like
Courier, is it still misaligned?
