How to link MPEG with PPT?

Hi,

I need to insert some video files like mpeg/rm/avi format into my entire
ppt file, and link them together. But how can I play them smoothly in ppt ?
Any information will be appreciated.

Are you inserting them on separate slides? What is happening when the slide
show is played? Are they playing jerky or something?

By the way, PowerPoint doesn't support RM files.
