How to leave the title row in MS Excel fixed?

Hello. I've seen this before but cannot figure out how to do it myself.
I would like to have a way to leave the title bar of an Excel 2002
spreadsheet fixed in the same position as I scroll down the rest of the table
without using the split bar above. I don't know if this requires macros or
not, but have tried the help feature and search in the MS knowledge base
without success.
Anyone can help?

Here are two options:

1. Freeze pane
At you left, Click on row number ... 3. Goto menu Window>Freeze pane...
This will make everything above row 2, stay still when you scroll.
Then use Window>Unfreeze pane.
(The same principle can be used to to freeze columns or rows and column.)

2. Window Split
Your right scrollbar, at the top (abover the small triangle), is a small
thing like a miniature "brick". You can drag that to split your window. (The
same procedure can also be found under menu Windows>...)

Show the top left cell that you always want to see (probably A1).

Select the cell in the row under the last row you want frozen and to the right
of the last column you want frozen.

Then Window|Freeze Panes

For instance, if I always wanted to see Rows 1 and 2 and columns A and B, I
would make sure I could see A1 first.

Then select C3, then window|freeze panes.

Instead of splitting the window, you can freeze the panes:

Select the row below your headings
Choose Window>Freeze Panes.

Or, to freeze row and column headings:
Select the cell to the right of your row headings, and
below your column headings, e.g. cell B2
Choose Window>Freeze Panes
