i have a question in my text book and i dont know how to do it..
exsample:
in cells D2:G2, enter labels "bob", "kat", "greg", "doug"respectively...

how do you do this?

Hi:

move the cursor to cell D2 and type bob
move the cursor to cell E2 and type kat
move the cursor to cell F2 and type greg
move the cursor to cell G2 and type doug
press enter

No, if you want to label them respectfully (sic), then it would be:
Robert
Catherine
Gregory
Douglas
:-)

As for your original question, you may want to look at Insert/ Name ...

That's pretty much it for respectively...

Now, to do it respectively, you should probably address them properly as Mr.
D2, Ms. E2, Doctor F2 and The Honorable G2.

But I think respectively will get the job done for you, and just simply type
in the words as labels.
