How to know if an Control is active or disposed

Hi,
I have an Windows mobile 5.0 application to which i am adding / removing
labels at runtime.

Some times i am getting an object disposed exception while trying to update
the label using invoke from some other thread.

Is there any way i can know if a control is active or is disposed?
