record even if painter is supposed to be alphabetically on top after

What might be appropriate in an e-mail between friends is not
appropriate in a technological newsgroup with many readers to whom
English is a second language.

If you care to re-write your message, using full words, punctuation,
and proper capitalization so that everyone who reads your question can
understand it, you will have a much better chance of getting a
helpful reply.

Ok first off autonumber assigns a number automatically when the record is
created. It is not a record count.

Second if you want to sort I find it easy to make a extra column in the
table and order from 1-10 how you want it ordered then in the form use the
query builder to order it according to the new column without showing it.
