You need to pre-load the drivers for your RAID chipset.
best to ask on a RH or Fedora forum as to the procedure

I can find reference to ULI M1573 (Southbridge) here, but I don't know what
the implications are. (Whether these drivers have been integrated
into your Linux distribution or not is unclear)

http://www.nvidia.com/page/uli_drivers.html

There is even a reference to M1573 here.

http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6358

And here:
http://linuxmafia.com/faq/Hardware/sata.html

"ULi Electronics, Inc. (formerly ALi) M1573 South Bridge and M5285, M5283,
and M5281 SATA-I bridge chips — fakeraid. libata driver "sata_uli".
Driver is now production quality."

The ULI company was bought by Nvidia, which is why some drivers exist
on the Nvidia site.

So "sata_uli" would be the thing to look for.
