i have tried every thing you suggest but when i go to insert photo (Jpeg or
bmp) only the name of the file appears ,not photo
why????

in general; images should only be used in the header of a report/form - using
the standard tool for adding images

otherwise image files should be kept out of a db in a separate folder...and
then put the link-to info in the table....

image files in the db itself will make the db too big very fast....

when you put your form/report into Design mode....

then up in the tool bar there is an icon that looks like a mountain top with
the sun.....use that to place an image where you want...

when you select it - and then select in your form/report; the wizard should
open to allow you to then browse to the location of the image.

Is this how you did it?

i tried that but i shows the same photo on each record ..i want a seperate
photo for each record

I have only experienced this when either the Control's property is set to
show icon rather than picture, or when trying to display a picture in an OLE
Frame. In the latter case, remember that when you use OLE Frames, you "put
yourself at the mercy" of whatever application is registered for that image
file type on the machine where the database is executing.

The sample imaging databases at http://accdevel.tripod.com illustrate three
approaches to handling images in Access, and the download includes an
article discussing considerations in choosing an approach. Two of the
approaches do not use OLE Objects and, thus, avoid the database bloat, and
some other problems, associated with images in OLE Objects.

If you are printing the images in reports, to avoid memory leakage, you
should also see MVP Stephen Lebans' http://www.lebans.com/printfailures.htm.
PrintFailure.zip is an Access97 MDB containing a report that fails during
the Access formatting process prior to being spooled to the Printer Driver.
This MDB also contains code showing how to convert the contents of the Image
control to a Bitmap file prior to printing. This helps alleviate the "Out of
Memory" error that can popup when printing image intensive reports.
