How to insert 'current day' in MS Word?

O

oystlars

Hi, I am using word 2003.

Is there an option to insert the current weekday in word? ..

That means, when I open the document I want word to insert the current
weekday and date in the upper right corner.

Possible?

Thank you.

In the template that you want to use to create the documents, insert the
following field construction

{ createdate \@ "dddd, MMMM d, yyyy" }

You must use Ctrl+F9 to insert the field delimiters and Alt+F9 to toggle off
their display.

Then when you create a document from that template by selecting New from the
File menu and then selecting the template, the document that is created will
have the weekday and the date of the date upon which you create the
document.

You will probably want to insert that field construction in the Header of
the template - just the First Page Header if you only want it to appear on
the first page of the documents.
