how to insert attachment to word

Hi,
I would like to know how can I insert attachment into word as attachment.
Whenever I insert file or pictures, it show up in the word document as
thumbnail not as an attachment icon.

Thanks!
 
Word doesn't accommodate 'attachments'. The only time you can add
attachments is from the e-mail toolbar for the purpose of e-mailing
documnts.
