How to insert a picture

Jamie

Hello,
I'm using movie maker 2.
I have a simple 30 second movie clip. I want to insert
a still picture OVER the existing video and audio for 4
seconds, from 12 seconds in to 16 seconds in. I don't
want a dissolve, or fade, I just want the picture to be on
top of the existing video, keep the current audio
underneath, and not add any time to the total clip length
of 30 seconds.
How do I do this? Any help with be greatly appreciated.

Hello there,

1) Drag the clip to the time line
2) Right click the audio part and select mute
3) Drag another copy of the clip to the audio track (below the time line)
4) Cut the video clip at the desired location and delete the bit you want to
replace.
5) Drag the still image to the location where the two clips touch each other
6) Make sure that there is no overlap and that the still image is of the right
duration by selecting its right edge and sliding in and out until you see that
it is 4 seconds in length

"split" the video at the start and end of your 4 second section

add a picture before the 4 second split section - trim it in or out to be 4
seconds long

drag the split section down to the audio/music track
