how to insert a map from mappoint into powerpoint slide

I haven't opened mappoint for a long time, but I think there's either a
camera-type tool to take screenshots/create images, or you can save a screen
as an image-type. Do that, then insert the image into PPT using
Insert|Picture|From File.
