how to hide/remove/add/edit template info

During editing a slide, on Normal view

at the bottom of the page (status line) several information pieces are
displayed, e.g.

Slide x of y
Language of the slide

One of the info displayed also is about the original template used as design
basis. How can I add/edit/remove information about this?

Many thanks in anticipation.

Thanks. That does work.

However, once I set the master name, there does not seem to be anyway to
remove it. Or at least the rename master does not allow me to put a blank
value. Is there some other way to achieve this?

thanks.

If you have PowerPoint 2002 or higher, choose View, Master, Slide Master.
Right click the current slide's master in the slide miniature pane and choose
Rename from the popup menu.

In PPT 2000 you can get at the info by editing pres.xml in the Script Editor
(or possibly by exporting the presentation to HTML, editing pres.xml then
reimporting)
