How to Hide and Unhide Rows

J

Jonno

Hi,

I have several pieces of data on a work sheet which i will create as my
template. But not all cells i will use on a work sheet and when i come to
print the worksheet out, i would like to hide the rows of information which i
will not be using.

I was thinking along the lines of using a check box at the top of the page.
So when the box is ticked the rows would unhide and show the revelent
infomation.

I would have several boxs unhiding different rows. These rows would not
cross over each other. i.e check box 1 would unhide row 5-10, check box 2
would unhide 15-20, and so on and so on.

Is this possible????????? Also if there is any other functions which would
do this job, suggestion would be greatfully appreciated!!

You can use autofilter to temporarily hide rows. If you choose Custom
with a setting of Not Equal To and then put 0 (zero) in the second
box, this will hide rows which have zero values in the cells in that
column. You can choose values other than zero to hide, if that suits
your data.

Hope this helps.

Also OP can check out View>Custom Views.

One view for normal..............one view for printing.
