how to grab an existing web (FP2000)...

I'm "relatively" new to FP.

I have FP2000.

I want to download an existing FP web,
modify it, and publish it again.

Problem: How do download an "existing"
FP web from the Internet?

If the existing web has FP extensions installed:
Open FP
File | Open Web
enter: http://www.yourwebname.xxx
You'll be prompted for your un/pw
This should open your web "live" on the server...then:
File | Publish
then enter a location to Publish to on your hd, usually C:\My Documents\My Webs (but this may vary).
If it asks you to create a web at this location say Yes.

Then OK OK...whatever.

Then wait till it's done Publishing.

when finished close the connection to the server's web and open your local copy.

It's best to always work on the local copy then Publish Web to the server...it's safer than working live.
