how to get the rownum of the combined cell

sample attached.

now B1-B7 return rownum increasing by 1
but i want them return rownum 1, 8, 15
because before them , it is a combined cell, the combined cell 's rownum is 1, 8, 15.

Try this formula in result column (B in this case)

=LOOKUP(ROW(),A:A,A:A)
