How to get rid of "Connect" window when I open web browser

I recently tried to network my laptop and desktop computer. Now,
everytime I open my web browser or any internet program, I get a
window that asks me to connect to my dial-up connection, even when not
connected to my desktop. I often use a wi-fi or LAN connection and do
not access the web with a dial up. How do I get Windows XP to stop
prompting me to sign on to AOL? THANKS!

How do you made you network?, which windows do you have
in your computers?
