How to get Polish language characters?

I've been tediously working on this problem for the last six months: I am now
unable to type Polish characters . I have used Polish characters previously,
and the capability has vanished without my deselecting them. When I toggle
the language bar, PL (Polish Language) displays, but without access to the
special characters. I have followed the instructions. I have gone to
Settings, Regional, Language, Details etc. etc. and find that Polish is
already selected there. I have unselected it, rebooted, reselected it,
rebooted, to no avail. I have downloaded and installed the Visual Keyboard.
The Polish keyboard is identical to the English keyboard, without any Polish
characters. What do I have to do to correct this problem, short of buying new
Windows software? Carol B.

can you try changing the keyboard in regional setting to polish


Caution: this assume you know or have a polish keyboard. you should do some
more research before trying. *******At very least, do a proper backup
first********
