How to get Minolta 2300DL to work on USB?

How to get Minolta 2300DL to work on USB port?
After 1 week of technical support from Minolta and
exchanging the printer, it will not work on a USB port.
We got it to work on a parallel port, but I need to use
the parallel port for another printer.
The printer installed perfecting on my laptop with
Windows ME, it won't work on my Vaio with XP Home.
I keep getting an unknown device pop-up.

Have you tried updating the driver for the printer? Here is a link for
Minolta printer XP drivers.

Downloard the driver for your printer and install. This my solve your
problem if you have not done this yet.
