How to fix the slow Outlook 2003 navigation problem.

After spending 2 days and experimenting I finally found the problem. To fix
this issue (slow moving around outlook files or folders after importing
outlook.pst to the new outlook.pst file) you need to open Outlook and let it
create a blank/new outlook.pst and archive.pst files. Then you re-name these
two files (e.g., outlookold.pst, archiveold.pst, etc.). Then you copy your
orginal outlook.pst and archive .pst files from another computer or where
ever to the same folder/location where the outlook.pst file is supposed to
be. Then you open Outlook and voila. It is all there and working fine.

DO NOT TRY TO IMPORT THE OUTLOOK.PST TO THE NEWLY CREATED OUTLOOK.PST. JUST
TRY THE ABOVE INSTRUCTIONS. Happy outlooking....

This is a good recipe for corrupting your mail profile. Never rename or
overwrite PSTs that are currently included in an active mail profile.
