How to find, whether user belongs to workgroup or domain

i want to find whether an user belongs to workgroup or a domain

how can i do this?

can anyone help me out?

Hello karthee,

A user can not belong to a workgroup, it can be a local user of a computer,
you can find it if you open explorer, rightclick computer, take manage and
go to local users and groups. Under the user part you can find all local
users of the computer.
If the user belongs to a domain, you can find him with Active Directory Users
and computers snap in from the administrative tools.
