Hi.

In a previous message, I asked about how to filter messages that my
university account, recently added to Windows Mail, receives. A MVP told me
that the best way to filter them would be server-side. Now, I have to ask -
is there ANY way to filter those messages?
My problem is that I usually receive 100+ spam messages per day, and
server-side they aren't going to do anything about it.

Thanks in advance,
Mykas0

P.S.-> I know I submitted a message earlier today on this subject, but I'm
still learning how to use Newsgroups (I started today). Sorry about that.

For the spammers who are stupid enough to use the same return address
all the time, open the message, then click on Message, then Create Rule
From Message, then Delete It, then OK. It won't delete those you have
already downloaded, but will delete those that are downloaded later.

If it's a POP3 account you can make another folder in WinMail and make a
message rule to filter mail from a particular account to that folder. Make
sure that the message rule also contains "Stop processing more rules" and is
above any other rules.

If it's an IMAP account you'll have to do this at the server level.

Hi.

Frank, I think it was you who replied to my original post, and thanks
(again). However, my problem is exactly about an IMAP account. Like I
stated, server-side there's nothing they'll be doing about it (we've been
asking for it for more than three years), so, I have to ask - is there
ANYTHING I can do about this?
