How to extract my contacts from outlook trial version that has exp

I think this is either difficult or impossible, I have been searching with no
luck!

Basically I was hoping to extend the trial version of Office, but the cost
is prohibitive for me for a home computer user. Unfortunately I have been
using for 3 months and love it, but the trial has ended and I cannot export
my contacts via the normal method and I wondered if there is another way to
do it!

Your Outlook data file still exists. If you are trying to convert it to
another format, you will require Outlook.

what is the 'normal method'? what format do you need them in? Do you have
any friends that use outlook? If you are going back to an older version of
office, which version?
