Converting from trial office to full version

I'm sure this question has been asked and answered, but I didn't find it.
Please accept my appologies for asking again.

My computer came loaded with a trial version of Office. I purchased a CD
with the Office suite I desired and loaded it on my computer. My problem is
my Outlook email is now showing mainly ghosted icons. I thought I had
uninstalled the trial version of Office and switched to the full version, but
I'm wondering if I'm missing something or what.

Please give me detailed steps to take as I'm totally confused by what's
happened. Thanks for your help.

In my experience, installing the full version overtop was all that was
needed.

You could backup your data (.pst) and uninstall and reinstall. I'm not sure
a 'detect and repair' is sufficient now.

Thank you. I'll give it a try.

Just wanted to let you know I got my problem solved. A recap of my
problem-I had installed a new version of MS Office over the trial version.
When the trial version expired, I thought the new on would pick up. BTW, I
uninstalled the trial version when I installed the new one. Anyway, most
options in Outlook was greyed out. I uninstalled the new version of MS
Office, restarted the computer and reinstalled the new version. Problem
solved.

Thanks so much for all of the help I've received on this site. It's very
much appreciated. You guys are a great bunch.
