How to download email bodies via IMAP connection?

I am working through an IMAP connection with Outlook. How can I
download message bodies to my client so that I can "Work Offline" and
not have to worry about only having headers cached? My client does not
even cache headers for ALL of my folders, so working offline in this
situation is pretty much useless.

Click ALT-CTRL-S, choose your send/receive group, and click Change. Select
your IMAP account. Check the radio button that says "Download complete item
including attachments." Click OK. Open each IMAP folder and allow the
items to download. Click File>Work Offline. Stop and restart Outlook. You
should now be able to access all the IMAP items in the folders.
