How to do the filter when applying formula to a pivot table

I extract the data from one query into one pivot table from Access. I
would like to know the "Gap" or "different" (such as revenue gap from
2007 to 2006), so I insert a "calculating item" to pivot table. Beside
that, there is one more condition, that is I would like to know some
specific items, not all data. but when I apply this calculating item,
all data is show off. I don't want to show all data. It seems the
filter or selector disable. Is there anyone could help me? Thanks in
advance.

That is one of the problems with using a calculated item -- it shows all
the items, for each field. For example, it might show all the cities
under each State, not just the cities that are actually in each state.

Perhaps you could use the Difference From custom calculation instead.
There are instructions here:

Thansk a lot. I try it and it works. But further question occurred
---- the original data was hided. I would like to show the "2005" and
"2006" and also the "different" data. Is it possible?
