How to do a file search without it looking in zip files too?

I constantly look for files on my Windows XP system and
notice that it takes a long time. I happen to have a lot
of large zip files on my system and every time I do a
file search it automatically looks in the zip files too.
Is there a way to override that option?

Click Start | Run | "Regsvr32 /u zipfldr"

[After search is completed]
"Regsvr32 zipfldr"
[optional, if you want XP to handle Zip files as folders. Alternately, you may use Winzip ]
