how to disregard value in record if null?

Working with Access 2003 and new to it so pardon any wrong terms:
I have a table that has multiple similar records with only one different
field in each. Here is a simple demo:
http://tallahasseech.org/accessquestion.htm

In my report I have created a grouping level so I can just show, for
example, the client's name and then all three of the disabilities associated
with that client's name.

This works fine but when I have a disability field left blank (null) then it
leaves a big gap between the some of the disabilities...when they are listed
on the report under that client's name.

Can I set the report so that the disability text box will ignore null values
in that field in the table its based upon...and just show the next
disability? This way I will have all disabilities listed right under
eachother in the report even if there is no disability listed in that table
field for one of the records.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Can you base your report on a query with a criteria under the Disability
column of Is Not Null?

If I do that then I loose all the records that have no value in
disabliity....I still need to show their names in the report.

So I just want to 'condense' all the multiple disabilities for each client ,
eliminating the null values for the disablity field.

Your sample didn't show any clients without a disability. If this is a
possibility, you can create a query of all clients only. Then create a query
of client disabilities without the nulls. Then combine the two queries
joining the client names. Set the join properties to display all the records
from the client query.

Thanks Duane. Just getting back to this.

It sounds like I cannot control this from the Report itself but need to
work on the data the Report uses (with queries as you suggest). I will look
into this.
Appreciate your help.
