How to display a table column value in a textbox ?

I want to display a value in a textbox and it's coming from a column of a
table which is not the record source for the form.

Any idea ?

I should have mentioned that I used query and assigning that to Default Value
property. Where exactly should I put the query ? I'll try DLookup function.

Is there a limit on the number of columns to use in the criteria ? The
correct value is returned when using 4 fields but not when I add another
column. I've already verified the value on 5th column.
