How to Disable some Start-up Items

On start-up the following appear:

1. Blue box saying "No Signal"

2. Big Company Logo that stays on for one minue

3. A box flashes for about 6 seconds with nothing in the
body, but at the top it says: system32/cscipt.exe

No. 1 (and maybe no. 2) are most likely because you have a flat panel
LCD monitor for your desktop PC. Unlike CRT monitors, LCDs warm up
almost instantly, and so the screen is capable of displaying an image
before the PC has made it through its POST (power-on self test) and
starts suppling a signal to the monitor. I don't know why this doesn't
happen with laptops, but it's probably because in an integrated system,
the power-on sequencing can be controlled by the manufacturer. The "No
Signal" box should go away very quickly, but short of turning your PC
on, pausing a couple of beats, and then turning your display on, I don't
think you can get rid of it.
