How to determine down load speed of a web site?

I have a web site that has java script with a three photos slideshow. The
photos are about 800 by 450px more or less. However front page doesn't
include this info in its estimation of dial-up down load time.
My connection runs at 4367kbps, so I don't have any idea about how fast my
pages download on other connections.

Is there a site or service that can help you figure out what site down load
times would be on different connections?
