how to detect hidden programs on an XP maching

Can anyone help me determine if a program is on my XP
maching that is monitoring usage? My concern is not
scamware or data mining applications, but with a program
that maybe monitoring my keystrokes?

As a general rule, its not necessary to include the running Services in a
